Breedon General Purpose Masonry Mortar 20kg

Breedon have developed a versatile Masonry Mortar ideal for a number of applications. This mortar is kiln dried, pre-blended and factory produced to provide ultimate longevity and stability in your projects. This mortar is ideal for applications such as bricklaying, repointing and laying slabs and blocks for paths and patios, as well as general masonry repairs. One bag of this masonry mortar will provide approximately 12 litres of fresh mortar, producing enough material to lay approximately 20 standard house bricks or 12 100mm blocks with a uniform 10mm joint. This mortar is compliant with BS EN 998-2 regulations and hardens in approximately 2 to 4 hours.

It must be noted that to achieve the desired work ability of this product, it is suggested that water be added to the mixing process in small increments, as well as the fact that strength will develop beyond the initial set time stated and has been assessed at 28 days. Setting and curing times will vary depending on water content used and ambient weather conditions. To assist the curing process, it is important that all cement-based materials are protected after placement, to avoid moisture loss, freezing and effects of hot and cold weather conditions.
