Description

Marine Plywood | 25mm | High-Quality Moisture-Resistant Plywood

Our high-quality Marine Plywood boards offer excellent strength, durability, and moisture resistance, making them suitable for a wide range of construction, joinery, exterior, and high-humidity applications.

Each board is manufactured from multiple thin layers of high-quality wood veneer. These veneers are bonded together, with the grain direction of each layer positioned at an angle to the next. This cross-layered construction provides excellent rigidity, dimensional stability, and impact resistance while helping to reduce the risk of splitting, cracking, twisting, or warping during installation and use.

Marine Plywood is manufactured using a durable, moisture-resistant adhesive and carefully selected veneers with limited core gaps. This provides a strong and reliable board that can withstand humid environments and occasional exposure to water more effectively than standard plywood.

Although Marine Plywood offers a high level of moisture resistance, it is not completely waterproof in its unfinished condition. For prolonged exterior use or regular exposure to water, all faces and cut edges should be properly sealed, finished, and maintained with a suitable exterior-grade coating.

Grading Information

Marine-Grade Plywood

Marine Plywood is manufactured using higher-quality face and core veneers, with fewer defects, voids, and internal gaps than standard plywood.

The board features a smooth and consistent surface, making it suitable for projects where both strength and a neat, presentable finish are required. It can be used in its natural condition or finished with paint, varnish, stain, resin, fibreglass, or another suitable protective coating.

Please note that the term “Marine Plywood” describes the board’s moisture-resistant construction and adhesive. It does not mean that the board can be permanently submerged or left exposed outdoors without suitable sealing and maintenance.
