Flexible Plywood | Bendable Plywood for Curved Designs

Our high-quality Flexible Plywood boards are specially designed to bend around curved shapes and structures, making them ideal for furniture manufacturing, interior design, shopfitting, exhibition displays, and decorative joinery projects.

Unlike standard plywood, Flexible Plywood is manufactured with a specialised veneer construction that allows the board to bend easily in one direction without cracking or splitting. This makes it possible to create smooth curves, rounded corners, arches, columns, and other shaped features that would be difficult to achieve using rigid sheet materials.

Flexible Plywood is lightweight and easy to handle, cut, shape, and install. Once bent into the required position, the board should be fixed securely to a suitable supporting frame or former to maintain its shape and provide stability.

The smooth surface makes the board suitable for decorative applications and allows it to be finished with paint, veneer, laminate, fabric, vinyl, or another suitable surface covering.

Long-Grain and Cross-Grain Options

Flexible Plywood is available in different bending directions depending on the orientation of the veneers.

Long-grain flexible plywood bends along the length of the board, while cross-grain flexible plywood bends across its width. The correct option should be selected based on the direction of the curve required for the project.

The achievable bend radius will depend on the thickness of the board, the direction of the grain, and the method of installation. Thinner boards generally allow tighter curves than thicker boards.

Flexible Plywood is designed for forming curves and should be supported by a suitable framework. It is not normally intended to be used as an unsupported structural board.

Surface and Finish
