Specifications
24mm Shuttering Plywood is an extremely high strength board manufactured by gluing layers of Softwood Plywood together in as many layers that is needed to give the product this incredible strength and load-bearing ability. The main purpose of Shuttering Plywood is specifically to make a mould for pouring concrete and providing a solid wall while the concrete sets. This is due to its WBP Grading, giving it good weather resistant capabilities and the fact that the Plywood does not stick to the concrete. Other uses of this Plywood are any constructions that require extreme strength, but not necessarily an aesthetically pleasing finish. This is caused by the knots that can occur in the manufacturing process, but this is purely an aesthetic issue and does not effect the ability of the product.
Our Shuttering Plywood is available in thicknesses of 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, 24mm and comes in a variety of sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the thickness?
24 mm.
What are the standard dimensions?
Typically 2440mm × 1220mm (8 ft × 4 ft) sheets.
What is it used for?
Heavy-duty concrete formwork, staging, ramps, large temporary structures.
Is it moisture or weather resistant?
It has limited moisture resistance; edges should be sealed if exposed to weather.
Can it be reused?
Yes — if handled carefully and stored dry, thick shuttering boards like this are often reusable.
How to cut and fix it?
Use quality saws, pre-drill holes for fasteners, and use nails/screws as needed.
Will it warp or degrade?
Thicker panels are more stable, but moisture ingress can cause issues if not sealed or stored properly.
Is it structural / permanent?
It’s designed for temporary uses—formwork, hoarding—not permanent decorative or structural panels.
Can it be painted or treated?
Yes — priming or coating helps protect it from moisture and extend useful life.
What maintenance is required?
Store flat, avoid exposure to prolonged moisture, seal edges, maintain in dry conditions between uses.
