Siniat dB Board/Knauf is a high-performance acoustic plasterboard designed for use in areas where sound insulation is critical. Denser, stronger, and heavier than standard plasterboard, it delivers excellent noise reduction alongside improved fire resistance.

Ideal for stud partitions, wall linings, and ceiling systems, Siniat dB Board is commonly used in residential and multi-occupancy buildings, including apartments, hotels, and shared accommodation. It is particularly well suited to separating walls and partitions where enhanced acoustic performance is required.

No, you do not have to, you can decorate and paint over the plasterboard but If you want to you can finish with a layer of skim plaster.

Donā??t get the plasterboard wet just get it damp by run a wet paint brush over the plasterboard if it is absorbed instantly then go over it again with a wet brush then leave it for at least 10 minutes

Do you need to seal plasterboard with PVA?

No, never seal plasterboard with PVA because it does not work as a sealer. Before painting the new plaster, you need a sealer to prime the surface.

Can I tile straight onto plasterboard in a shower?

It is fine to tile on it as it is, you could do a coat of primer but itā??s not really necessary.

What do you put on plasterboard before painting?

Definitely make sure the plasterboard is sealed before painting, give it a light sand down to make sure that the surface is smooth but donā??t use silk or vinyl on bare plasterboard.

What is the best adhesive for plasterboard?

The ideal adhesive is unibond no more nails because its strong and ideal for heavy-duty adhesion and it eliminates the need for screws or nails.

Is plasterboard waterproof?

Yes, plasterboard is 100% waterproof and compliantly non-combustible so it is ideal for showers and bathrooms where there will be a lot of moisture in the air.

How often should I screw plasterboard?

You should nail or screw every 300mm around the ends of the sheet and any openings.

Can you fix shelves to plasterboard?

To put up shelves on a plasterboard wall you will need to find two studs which is what the plasterboard is attached to, you can anchor the shelves to that.
